Mikrogeophagus ramirezi is a fish from the Cichlidae family, of the Perciformes order. It is a dwarf cichlid, with a rounded belly and laterally compressed. In the wild, they can reach 10 cm in size, while in captivity, males usually measure between 5 and 7 cm.
